Morgan Christman, Zachary Schumm, and Kaitlin Rim

Three Biology graduate students were recognized at the 102nd Annual Meeting of the Pacific Branch of the Entomological Society of America in Reno, NV, June 10-13, 2018. MS student Kaitlin Rim (Ramirez Lab) received second place for her oral presentation titled “Evaluation of root-pest resistant alfalfa cultivars for potential management of the clover root curculio”. Zachary Schumm (MS student in the Alston Lab) received third place for his poster presentation, “Brown marmorated stink bug overwintering success and survey for natural enemies in Utah”. Morgan Christman (MS student in the Ramirez Lab) won the best insect photo taken with a cell phone titled “Weevil”.
